Cobalt’s portfolio is as diverse as our clients. We don’t specialize in a medium — we specialize in translation with imagination. As a result, we work on a wildly diverse set of projects that run the gamut from traditional print communications to online communications to integrated internal and external campaigns with a little bit of everything. National Board for Professional Teaching Standards

PROJECT
Awareness Campaign for Teachers

BRIEF
In 2016, NBPTS was awarded a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Grant to build awareness of the value of Board Certification. Cobalt Communications won the bid to develop the strategy and creative content to build awareness of the value of Board Certification among certification-eligible teachers in six identified regions, as demonstrated by the following metrics: an increase of traffic to key information areas on the NBPTS.org website or related regional websites; an increase in registrations for new accounts at NBPTS.org; and an increase in enrollments in the certification process.

Concordia Pharmaceuticals

PROJECT
Nilandron Branding, website + sales materials

BRIEF
Nilandron, an anti-androgen for the treatment of prostate cancer, is marketed by Concordia, which seeks to acquire and manage drugs that are in the maturity or legacy stage of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle and continue on a predictable revenue generation path. Cobalt developed the Nilandron identity and a suite of materials to help market the drug in the U.S. Those materials included a consumer website, physician education, patient education and a sales aid.

Ashland Advantage Ad Campaign

BRIEF
When the Tissue and Towel team at Ashland Water Technologies sought to attract paper mills with its superior chemistry and service, they contacted Cobalt, who teamed up with partner agency Aesthetica to produce materials as part of the Ashland Advantage campaign. We developed the “My Chemistry/Innovation/Legacy is Your Advantage” concept to personalize the chemical company while still highlighting key differentiators of the brand.

LIFE Series Website Writing

BRIEF
When Discovery Channel brought the landmark 11-part LIFE series to the U.S., it needed website content to accompany and complement each of the episodes. Cobalt Creative Director Bill Harris interviewed BBC filmmakers and wrote several articles about some of the most fascinating organisms on the planet.

PROJECT
U.S. Contributions Report

BRIEF
For nine years, Cobalt helped the Corporate Contributions team at AstraZeneca plan, develop, write and design its annual Corporate Contributions Report, which summarized the impact of the pharmaceutical company’s philanthropic efforts in and around its U.S. headquarters. The final reports were used to solidify AstraZeneca’s reputation in the community.

Ongoing External Communications

BRIEF
In 2014, Ashland Water Technologies was acquired to form Solenis, a company that supplies chemicals, equipment and services to pulp and paper mills, municipalities, energy production providers, mining companies and other industrial facilities. Cobalt has partnered with Solenis since the acquisition to help shape key internal and external communications.

Pinnacle Awards Materials

BRIEF
The Pinnacle Awards recognizes a select number of employees at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals for the impact they have on the organization. In 2017, Cobalt was asked to manage the entire event, from contacting families to collect their perspectives to creating materials to honor winners to producing staging for the live ceremony.

PROJECT
Website Content Strategy + Writing

BRIEF
Cobalt partnered with Immerge Technologies to provide a comprehensive redesign of the Precision Medical Technologies (PMP) website. Cobalt led the discovery session, developed the site architecture and wrote all of the content, including an overview of PMP’s proprietary manufacturing process. After the site launched, Cobalt continued to work for the medical device manufacturer, writing blog posts and creating sales materials for PMP’s business development efforts.

Kymene Marketing Materials

BRIEF
When Ashland Water Technologies introduced a new generation of Kymene, a wet-strength resin used by paper mills during the manufacturing of tissue and towel products, to the market, the brand team called on Cobalt to help develop a set of materials to communicate the environmental benefits of the new chemical. Cobalt developed content for a brochure, sell sheets and an infographic.

Market Access Organizational Posters

BRIEF
At the 2014 annual meeting of the AstraZeneca Market Access team, leaders felt that employees needed to understand all of the functions of the group, even those beyond their immediate sphere of influence. So, meeting planners organized a poster session in the main conference hall and asked Cobalt to research, write and design the posters. In the end, we created almost 30 posters that became focal points to help Market Access employees learn and engage.

Helmsley Trust IBD and Crohn's Disease

Advisory Board Presentation

BRIEF
The Helmsley Charitable Trust aspires to improve lives by supporting a variety of health and place-based initiatives. One of those initiatives is an aggressive program to find a cure for irritable bowel disease and Crohn’s disease. For the program’s 2015 advisory board meeting in New York City, Cobalt worked with partner agency Strategic Communications and Planning to develop visuals and infographics to illustrate key financial and program data.

BRIEF
When Ashland Water Technologies was acquired to form Solenis, the company had to launch a new website in 90 days. Cobalt worked side-by-side with other external branding and digital agencies to migrate or write content in time for the launch.

BRIEF
AmerisourceBergen is the second-largest distributor of pharmaceuticals in the U.S. The company partnered with Cobalt to develop a number of external-facing materials, including print collateral, direct mail campaigns, point-of-sale displays and customer service materials.

Acceleration Zone Internal Campaign

BRIEF
AstraZeneca introduced the Acceleration Zone — a creative environment and a strategic meeting methodology — to enable stronger decision-making and spark high-level creative thinking. Cobalt helped launch the Zone to AZ employees, creating branding, pre-event promotional materials, retractable banners and a video showcasing the dynamic nature of the space.
